This is very sad indeed!  I remember Robert (Bob) as a soft spoken guy.  I don't know if it was because he was shy or just shy to talk to me but we were perhaps all just a little a awkward in high school.  I thought he was cute, smart and a very nice person.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time of loss.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I also remember him as being fairly quiet but super nice. An all around good guy.  My sympathies to his family and may he Rest In Peace.

Our sympathies for Robert Manware's family.

I don't know if Shirley knew Robert while in class, but I know she would like for me to post this in her place.

My sympathies to the entire Manware familiy....I knew Bob quite well as his older brother Bill was my boyfriend my entire Sophmore year.  I am so saddened to hear of his passing.  Fly high Bob...I know you will be missed.  And he was funny....full of wit and charm.

I do not remember Bob as a quiet guy. He was one of the funniest people I had ever been around and he made me laugh everytime I was with him. I didn't hang out with him much in High School, mainly because I was jealous of his older brother.

But during our college years I would often get together with him and  Guy Piper. I will never forget the time at SomePlaceElse when Bob jumped on stage, grabbed the mic and belted out an excellent version of "My Baby Does the Hanky Panky!" There may have been alcohol involved, but no matter, Bob received a rousing round of applause, led by Piper and me! It was a great moment.

Those of us who were ever in the company of Bob Manware and Guy Piper together were lucky indeed. I hope they are together again making all around them laugh until their sides hurt!

William Bass,

I can't believe Bob was on stage singing that song!  LOL!  Wish I could have seen it.  Thanks for the story and the laugh.  Oh, and I'm certain alcohol was involved.
